Congrats on an excellent first official issue of Undying Monsters. Very much liked the issue and its excellent NOTD filmbook. Also your editorial reminded me of something I'd forgotten about when I stopped reading Famous Monsters - I'd been unhappy with FM because all it ever did was print the stories of the movies but very little in the way of solid background and behind-the-scenes information that I was getting hungry for. Thus when Cinefantastique started up I quickly switched loyalties. But I'd forgotten how much the younger me enjoyed and relied upon Forry's film book to construct a movie I hadn't seen or reconstruct one I had caught on TV, in those ancient days before video tapes, laserdiscs, and DVD/Blu-Rays. In fact one of the first published articles I had in somebody's fanzine way back when was a filmbook itself for The Day The Earth Stood Still. Thanks for the reminder of the value of the filmbooks and for carrying on the tradition so well in Undying Monsters. Along with MFTV you're the two best monster magazines available these days.

I just received my Issue Of Undying Monsters In The Mail yesterday and it is the greatest! I really loved The article on The Curse Of The Faceless Man, and Paul Blaisdell
The Funny Monster cards really brought back great memories from my childhood, and I am 50 years old. They made me laugh all over again! I also loved the fact that Fantastic Monsters From The Films may come back, that would be awesome. The magazine is just terrific I love it! I can't wait for the Vincent Price Issue, and the tribute To Hammer Films!

Just picked up your 1st ish at my LCS! You guys are off to a GREAT start!!! Love the cover-very eye catching. Speaking of covers, you should contact Ed Repka (Google him), and get him to do a cover for your mag. I know he's done some covers for other (*cough-cough*) horror publications. I think he does a GREAT Gogo's homage w/o aping, him and using his own style. Regardless, best of luck!

Dear Undying,
Wow, this magazine is a dream come true! I just picked up issue #1 this week at my local comic shop and read it immediately. I couldn't put it down. This is a grade A, high-quality magazine that speaks directly to my heart. The pictures are phenomenal, from the quantity and quality to excellent paper stock, and are equally matched by the superb writing. With a benchmark this high, I am excited to see what is in store for the next issue.
Thank you for making a magazine about my favorite movies of all-time. While reading, I discovered a couple of movie gems that I had not watched before and I am now on the prowl to get them on DVD. (My own meager DVD/Blu-ray collection numbers one hundred six movies and three television series from the classic horror/horror-sci-fi genre. But, I've watched many more.)
Please keep up the great work. I'm so impressed by this magazine that I have ordered two more copies for my friends. Next time the trick will be to read Undying Monsters without drooling all over the pages!

Thanks for my First subscription issue!! You guys are doing a wonderful job with this mag. NOW! This mag is a fitting tribute to Forry and his legacy and not that new so called "FM" that is really a "HorrorHound" or Rue Morgue" in disguise. With your mag i finally feel like i am truly back home! I will be sure to write about it in my column "How Two Collect A Monster" monthly in Movie Collectors World. Two Fangs Up !_! Loved #2! The cover was awesome! I couldn't remember who Cathie Merchant was until I read the film book. I also enjoyed the other articles, especially the ones on Poe and the monster toys. The Mad Magician isn't one of my favorites, but the pics were cool!

Issue #2 was great. I loved the Demon cover, but this may be the best one yet. I also find your Cranium Quotes quite challenging, if not too challenging (and I'm a big Price fan). Your mag definitely reminds me of the ones I grew up with. Can't wait to see the Hammer issue!
